The Kaevur Authority

The planet Kaldum, home to the Kaevure Authority, has a rich and colorful history.  Located on the inner rim of the Proximus Hypercluster it is poised close enough to both the Draconid empire’s reach as well as the Parisi’s outer trade routes.  Kaldum was fortunate enough to avoid most interaction with the Draconid empire and by the time the Draconids took notice, the Kaevur Authority was deemed too important as a potential empire to attack.  Their formidable military may have also given the Draconids pause.

Based upon a caste system that rewards hard work and ingenuity, the Kaevur have long valued innovation as a highly marketable skill and have pushed the boundaries of what technology can do.  Learning early on that the use of machines and computing devices would free them up for greater innovation, they streamlined all their mining and manufacturing programs on a regular basis incorporating automation, artificial intelligence, virtual and holographic programs so they always emerge at the cutting edge of technology.  Their weapons and manufacturing are second to none and they freely trade with all the races of the galaxy, as long as they are conducted in a fair and honorable fashion.  The Kaevur have no use for subterfuge or other forms of espionage.  They freely give their designs to all that pay their more than fair prices.

Where the Kaevur have honed their technology to a knifes edge is in the realm of resource extraction.  They run some of the most efficient mining operations in the galaxy, producing high-quality materials in record time.  It is no wonder that most cultures will contract out these activities to the Kaevur who can get the job done cheaper, faster and will higher quality end results.

Ont eh battlefield the Kaevur are not much different than on a job site.  They operate with deadly efficiency but still maintain their honorable reputation.  Civilian targets are avoided at all costs and needless destruction of materials is kept to a minimum.  The Kaevur have been known to strip battlefields bare of anything they deem as useful.
