Dryden’s Strykers

A byproduct of the UEL was a desire to bring humanity back to its natural state. Genetic manipulation for anything other than humanitarian reasons was outlawed. Some humans found themselves no longer accepted in society, and often, the genetically-altered were gathered into a colony ship and asked to leave. They went out into the stars, no longer a part of the UEL but their own society, bitter and forsaken.

Many of those individuals were genetically-enhanced soldiers. The “Super Elite” from the Third War of Change, they were stronger, faster, and smarter than unaltered humans. A decision was made to become soldiers-for-hire and they traveled the galaxy in search of work. When they encountered the Parici, the soldiers met the Gatacan Guard, who took them under their wing. They were established as Dryden’s Strykers, after their leader Silas Dryden.

The Strykers earned their place as a fast striking, hard hitting force that could quickly respond to threats at the request of the highest bidder.  Though affiliated with the Parici, the Strykers are free to work with whomever they wish with the exception of the Parici’s longtime adversary, The Draconids. This would invalidate their standing as an independent entity and make them an enemy to all Parici.
