The Terra Moa are a genetically uplifted and cybernetically enhanced race of emu-like warriors, known for speed, resilience, and battlefield cunning. Towering over their ancestral cousins, these avian combatants sport reinforced plumage interwoven with reactive armor plating and neural implants that heighten reflexes to near-instantaneous levels. Their primary weapon—the stutter bolter—is a rapid-fire, gyro-stabilized projectile launcher that spits out microbursts of armor-piercing rounds in erratic, unpredictable patterns, overwhelming enemy defenses with sheer volume and velocity. Terra Moa squads are known for their hit-and-run tactics, darting across terrain with uncanny agility and unleashing devastating salvos before vanishing into cover like feathered phantoms.
For heavier engagements, the Terra Moa deploy in customized tankettes—compact, high-speed assault vehicles designed to complement their mobility and firepower. These nimble platforms bristle with autocannons, smoke launchers, and terrain-adaptive treads, allowing the Moa to dominate skirmishes in dense or uneven environments. But their true trump card is the Moa Strikewalker: a towering bipedal mecha piloted via direct neural interface, echoing the birdlike gait of its creators while amplifying their lethality tenfold.
