On the scorched world of Thalassor, where the sun hangs bloated and unrelenting in the copper sky, the Cepharions thrive in defiance of biology and expectation. These shell-less cephalopods, all muscle and mind, evolved in geothermal shallows and obsidian plains, their rubbery forms adapted to the planet’s blistering heat and crushing atmospheric pressure. With no bones to break and no shells to crack, they slither and surge across the terrain with uncanny grace, their tentacles coiling around beam Rifles forged in volcanic crucibles. Their skin pulses with chromatophoric signals—tactical language, emotional resonance, and battlefield command all woven into a living tapestry of color and motion.
Though their ground tactics are a mesmerizing dance of fluid violence, the Cepharions are not bound to the dirt. Towering above the lava flats and sulfur dunes stride their biomechanical war-walkers—multi-legged constructs of alloy and organ, piloted from within by Cepharions. These machines echo the Cepharions’ own form: tentacular manipulators, flexible armor plating, and ocular arrays that shimmer like cuttlefish eyes, spewing death from both range and close quarters.
